A-2010-01239 Background information - The incorporated community of South Indian Lake Mayor and Council was dissolved and the establishment of the newly Opiponapiwin Cree Nation was recognized in 2005.
The Opiponapiwin Cree Nation (OPCN) has successor rights to the M.G.E.U. collective agreement when all MGEU employees were transferred to OPCN. From 2005 to 2010, information on all court cost and legal council fees for OPCN chief and council disputes in provincial, federal labour board decisions. Federal court rulings and arbitration rulings pertaining to remoteness allowance and wage increases for MGEU transferred employees and exclusion of certain MGEU employees.
