Instructions to Access the Nunavut Map Selection Application

To gain access to the Nunavut Map Selection (NMS) application, you will need a username and password.

For better results please use either Internet Explorer Version 11 or Chrome Version 46 or higher.

The URL brings you to the Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada Services Portal Page:

After successful login, you will be redirected to the NMS application main menu page. The NMS application Help option on the left side of the screen gives you access to the User Guide.

Note: The first time you logon, the system will ask you to change your password. Afterwards, your account will force you to change your password every 90 days.  If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, you will need to activate the "compatibility view" mode to change your password. Please refer to the relevant Microsoft documentation on the subject for your version of Internet Explorer.

Follow the instructions on the screen to change your password. Passwords must be at least 8 characters long including at least 3 of the following 4 elements: a number, a lowercase letter, a capital letter, a special character. Also, note that you cannot use part or all of your username or any of the previously 9 used passwords.

Please contact the Mining Recorder's Office (MRO) at 867-975-4281 if you have any issues accessing the application.
