There are a number of web resources that provide more information about land claims and self-government, both in the Yukon and in other parts of Canada. The following are four Yukon specific sites where you can learn more!

Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada – Yukon Region

This website is the portal to the Yukon Regional Office of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada. On the site you can find information about the Regional Office, electronic copies of publications and agreements, and links to Yukon First Nations. The site also has a copy of the video Setting our Course that provides an excellent overview of Self-Government in the Yukon.

Government of Yukon – Land Claims and Self-Government

This office leads negotiations and implementation of modern-day treaties (land claim agreements) and Self-Government Agreements with Yukon First Nations and the Government of Canada. Please visit their site   for more information.

The Council of Yukon First Nations

The Council of Yukon First Nations is a central political organization representing most of the Yukon First Nation governments. Please visit their site   for more information.

The Self-Government Secretariat
