Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) is seeking individuals to serve on certain institutions, boards and commissions for which the Minister has appointment and nomination responsibilities.

Nunavut

Who can apply?

Individuals expressing interest to serve must clearly demonstrate their knowledge and experience relevant to organization or organizations they wish to serve. Current members are also invited to express their interest in being considered for reappointment or appointment to other organizations. Members must be able to participate in meetings and activities based on fluctuating workloads. Appointments are for set three year terms, except for the Arbitration Panels that are set for five years. Remuneration for days served and expenses for travel are provided.

All candidates proposed for appointment or nomination must undergo a federal security clearance, including the provision of fingerprints and a credit check.

Preference may be given to candidates who self-identify as members of one or more of the following groups: youth, women, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities and members of visible minorities.

Nunavut: The deadline has been extended to July 14, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (ET).
