Call for Proposals: Strong Schools, Successful Students Initiative 2015-2016

The Strong Schools, Successful Students Initiative supports First Nations students in achieving better education outcomes. This includes building partnerships with provincial schools and other First Nations. Beginning in 2015 and over five years, $200 million is available for this initiative through Economic Action Plan 2015. Funding is provided through Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada’s Education Partnerships Program and First Nation Student Success Program.

 

The 2015-2016 Call for Proposals to support First Nation student education activities between September 1, 2015 and March 31, 2016, is now closed. The deadline to submit a proposal was July 26, 2015, at midnight Eastern Time.

The 2015-2016 Call for Proposals is for:

Only current First Nation Student Success Program recipients can apply for early literacy and structural readiness activities under the First Nation Student Success Program. No other components under the First Nation Student Success Program are open. 

However, applications for structural readiness activities are being accepted under the Education Partnerships Program. All components under the Education Partnerships Program are open.

Proposals for structural readiness can only be submitted under one program.
