Abstract: Demographic projections are an important tool used by government and other organizations in planning for a wide range of services such as health care needs, education services, family services, infrastructure requirements, and a variety of other community services. Based on recent data and research, Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC) has updated the projections for the Registered Indian population, households and families to span the 25-year period from 2009 to 2034.
