Canada-First Nations Joint Action Plan

In June of 2011, the Government of Canada and the Assembly of First Nations jointly announced a Canada-First Nations (CFN) Joint Action Plan that expresses a commitment to work together to improve the long-term prosperity of First Nation people and all Canadians.

Based on common goals and shared principles, the Joint Action Plan is intended to strengthen the Canada-First Nation relationship at the national level. Together, the Government of Canada and First Nations have embarked on a new phase in their relationship as a means of demonstrating concrete action in priority areas.
