Funding Agreements and Approaches

Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC) transfers money to First Nations, Tribal Councils, Inuit and Métis communities, Northerners and other recipients for the delivery of programs and services that would ordinarily be provided by various levels of government (provincial, territorial, municipal).

This funding is transferred from AANDC to recipients through funding agreements with specific terms and conditions which must be met by all parties.
