Abstract: This report presents a profile of the social, economic, and public finance characteristics of Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Specifically, it presents in tabular and graphical formats, a statistical portrait of the population including information on demography, education, labour force, earnings, and sources of income. It also presents a portrait of the Northern economy including information on gross domestic product by industry, public and private sector investment, retail trade, and the value and supply of natural resources. The primary data sources for this publication are the Canadian Socio-Economic Information Management System (CANSIM), the Labour Force Survey, and Territorial Government statistics.
