The Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development hereby gives notice of the bids which have been selected in response to the 2010-2011 Beaufort Sea & Mackenzie Delta Call for Bids. Bidding closed on June 21, 2011 and successful bids were received for two parcels totalling $2,000,000.00 work proposal bids. In accordance with the requirements set out in the 2010-2011 Beaufort Sea & Mackenzie Delta Call for Bids, the following bids have been selected:

The work proposal bid represents the amount of money which the bidder intends to spend exploring the land parcel during the initial five-year period of a nine-year licence. Winning bidders who submit work deposits representing 25% of their work proposal bid will be eligible to receive an exploration licence. The Petroleum and Environmental Management Tool (PEMT) has been developed in order to raise awareness regarding relative environmental, socio-economic, and geo-economic sensitivities to oil and gas activity in the southern Beaufort Sea region.
The information contained within the PEMT continues to be further developed and refined in consultation with resource management partners.
