Approved Benefits Plans

An operator must clearly demonstrate that they have developed a benefits plan in accordance with the Northern Benefits Statement of Requirements for New Exploration Programs and have met the requirements of the Canada Oil and Gas Operations Act (COGOA)  .

An approved benefits plan commits an operator to implement the processes and strategies referred to therein to enhance opportunities for Canadians to participate in the supply of goods and services for proposed oil and gas works or activities.
