Telling stories is a traditional way of communicating important messages for both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people across Canada. Sharing success stories and knowledge is also an important part of the Climate Change programs at Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada. These Success Stories Publications bring to light the successes of Aboriginal and northern communities in developing and implementing clean energy projects and in adapting to the realities of climate change.
The Publications highlight projects that received a funding contribution from the Climate Change Programs. They are an excellent resource on available clean energy technologies, ways that communities can adapt to climate change, and on the characteristics of successful energy and adaptation projects. It is hoped that these stories will inspire other communities to take action on climate change adaptation and energy issues.
