Increasing Text Size

To increase the text size on our Web pages, you can change the settings in your Web browser. Just follow the instructions below based on the browser you are using or see your browser's help for details.

Internet Explorer

  1. Select "View" in the menu bar.
  2. Select "Text Size".
  3. Select "Larger" or "Largest".
  4. Using ctrl-+ (control key and plus key [+] at same time) will also increase the size

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Select "View" in the menu bar.
  2. Select "Text Size".
  3. Select "Increase".
  4. To increase the text size further, continue selecting "Increase".
  5. Using ctrl-+ (control key and plus key [+] at same time) will also increase the size

Chrome

  1. Select menu icon in the navigation section of the browser.
  2. Select "Zoom".
  3. Click on the + to increase the size
  4. To increase the text size further, increase the percentage.
  5. Using ctrl-+ (control key and plus key [+] at same time) will also increase the size

Opera

  1. Select "View" in the menu bar.
  2. Select "Zoom".
  3. From the menu, select the size with which you would like to view the Web site.

Installing a Font for Inuktitut

Some of the content found on the site have been posted in the Inuktitut Language. A special font (Pigiarniq) is required to view this content.

Help on accessing documents in PDF format

Some of the pages available on our website are electronic versions of documents that were originally designed for printing. These documents may also be available for download in PDF format so that you can view and print them with virtually the same graphics, typography and layout as the original version.

Before you can open any of the PDF documents on our website, you will first need to install one of the free PDF reader software programs from the sample list below.

Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada does not endorse any of the software found on these sites and is unable to provide technical assistance to users who install this software on their computers.

If you are still having trouble opening the .pdf document, follow these instructions:

  1. Right-click the link and select "save link as" or "save target as", depending on which browser you are using
  2. Save the document to your desktop
  3. Double click or Right-click on the file from your desktop, to open with a .pdf software (see list above), already installed on your computer

The Search Engine offers quick access to information through bilingual (French or English) keyword or phrases searches. This is particularly useful for users who wish to find specific information.
