Post-Secondary Education

Information for Students

Are you a First Nations or Inuit student interested in post-secondary education? Are you registered for post-secondary studies? Are you trying to find ways to help support your studies?

Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC) has two funding programs that could provide financial assistance for eligible Status Indian and Inuit students to help offset tuition, travel or living expenses.

Post-Secondary Student Support Program (PSSSP)

If you are an eligible Status Indian or Inuit student and plan on doing post-secondary studies on a part-time or full-time basis and are registered with an eligible post-secondary institution, you may qualify for financial support.

University and College Entrance Preparation Program (UCEPP)

Are you taking courses to prepare yourself for post-secondary degree or diploma programs?

If you are an eligible Status Indian or Inuit student registered for university or college entrance programs to help you achieve the academic requirements necessary for entrance into a post-secondary degree or diploma program, you may qualify for financial assistance.

Information for Post-Secondary Institutions

AANDC offers financial support to eligible post-secondary institutions to deliver special programs for First Nation or Inuit students.
