This directorate manages intergovernmental relations with self-governing Yukon First Nations and the Yukon Government, as well as relations with Indian Act bands. It also manages federal land claim and self-government obligations, including the negotiation of agreements flowing from these obligations.
This directorate promotes economic development and community sustainability through strategic northern and regional investments. It is also responsible for client services and programs for Status Indians in the Yukon and northern British Columbia.
This directorate has a broad mandate related to environmental management in the Yukon. It is responsible for the Waste Management Program, the Northern Contaminants Program, and the management of Type II Mines. It also develops environmental policy and co-ordinates federal responsibilities under the Yukon Environmental and Socio-Economic Assessment Act.
This directorate provides internal support for the AANDC Yukon Region, such as financial administration, records and information technology.
This directorate delivers human resources operational services to managers and employees, including the areas of: Classification, Staffing, Labour Relations, Human Resources Planning and Compensation and Benefits.
