In Saskatchewan, Indian and Northern Affairs Canada will invest more than $640 million this fiscal year, of which 98 per cent will go to support programs and services for Saskatchewan First Nations.

The department employs about 230 people in Saskatchewan at three locations— Regina, Prince Albert and Fort Qu'Appelle. The department’s regional office is located at the First Nations University of Canada building on the University of Regina campus. The First Nation registered population in Saskatchewan is about 120,000.
