Community Priorities:

In 2009/10, the Ottawa UAS Steering Committee will be focussing on identifying its key priorities under UAS.

Community Involvement (federal, provincial, municipal, Aboriginal and other):

In Ottawa, the Urban Aboriginal Strategy is overseen by the Ottawa Urban Aboriginal Strategy Steering Committee. The Committee consists of representatives from the Ottawa Aboriginal Coalition, youth, elders, and Federal Government, Province of Ontario and the City of Ottawa. The Committee is responsible for community engagement and in 2009/2010 will be determining UAS community priorities. The Committee is also responsible for developing and implementing a Community Plan and selecting UAS funded projects that address their local priorities.
