The Urban Aboriginal Strategy, (UAS) provides long-term investments to support urban Aboriginal communities by promoting self-reliance and increasing opportunities for Aboriginal people living in urban centres. INAC has provided federal funding and partnered with Aboriginal and non-profit organizations, provincial and municipal governments and the private sector to support UAS projects in 13 Canadian cities.
