Art Acquisition 2007-2008

Results of the Indian and Inuit Art Acquisition Program 2007-2008:

• 95 submissions from First Nations, Inuit and Métis artists were received from across Canada.
   
  
• 427 works of art were reviewed by the selection jury that included artist Hannah Claus (Mohawk/Euro-Canadian), Dr. Gerald McMaster (Plains Cree), artist and Curator of Canadian Art at the Art Gallery of Ontario and Dr. Norman Vorano, Curator of Contemporary Inuit Art, Canadian Museum of Civilization.
  
  
• 48 works of art were selected for purchase for the Indian and Inuit Art Collection for the Indian and Northern Affairs Canada art collection. View works at 2007-2008 Art Acquisition.
