Symbol of the Government of Canada

The 2010 Winter Games will be the most unique ever, because of the many ways in which Aboriginal people in Canada have contributed to the experience. Four Host First Nations   - the Squamish, Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh and Lil'wat First Nations -- are playing an unprecedented role in welcoming the world to Canada. They are full partners, with the Government of Canada, the Province of British Columbia, the Cities of Vancouver and Richmond, the Town of Whistler, and the Vancouver Olympic Organizing Committee (VANOC), in the 2010 Winter Games.

The Government of Canada  , through INAC and other departments, has worked with these partners to ensure that Canada's investment leaves a legacy of economic and social benefits for all Aboriginal peoples. Find out more as you visit the Aboriginal Participation in the 2010 Winter Games   Web Page.
