• The Privacy Act   provides Canadian citizens with the right to access personal information about themselves held by the government, and governs the collection, retention, use, disclosure, and protection of that information.

Access to Information Requests

• The Access to Information Act   provides Canadian citizens (individuals and corporate entities) with the right to access personal information contained in federal government records.
• View the Access to Information Request Form  

Both request types require replies to be provided within thirty (30) days if the request is reasonable. If the request will require more than thirty (30) days, the applicant will be notified.
