Bill S-2 – Family Homes on Reserves and Matrimonial Interests or Rights Act

Bill S-2 intends to address a 25-year old legislative gap – without this legislation, a spouse who holds the interest in an on-reserve family home can sell the home without the consent of the other spouse and keep all of the money.
