Ms. Snowshoe has an extensive background in volunteer work and community involvement. Some of her previous activities include volunteer work as a feature article writer for the UBC Law School newspaper. She was also a representative at the United Nations Conference on Human Rights.
Prior to her work with Davis and Company, Ms. Snowshoe was employed by the Center for International Indigenous Legal Studies at the UBC Faculty of Law as a researcher and as an Aboriginal issues advisor with Statistics Canada.
Ms. Snowshoe was presented with the Reebok International Human Rights award in 1993 and the United Nations Association John Gibbs Youth Memorial Award in 1992. She was also a shared recipient of the United Nations Association (BC) Human Rights award.
